Above the large alphabet pad, you’ll find the E-mail, Music Playlist, and Blog function buttons. Around the LED screen, you’ll see computer-like icons displaying all of the Leaptop’s interactive features. My girls are 9 and 11 and seem to enjoy it. It’s certainly something that my 11-year-old can set up herself, although I can understand that with them marketing this to younger children that they may need help setting it. The problems can arise with young children attempting to interpret the plans for the completed marble runs. Still, I can see the educational value in this as my 11-year-old has been able to build the few designs that come with it and branch into inventing her own. In fact, that’s what I recommend for the younger children. If anything, it’s a useful bonding opportunity for the kids and a parent, or something they even have fun doing if a sitter is over. When they get to the point where they choose to invent their own, it stimulates their creativity and forces them to do a bit of planning or at least some brief decision-making as they reach points in the design when they have to assess how many pieces are left and how they want their design to turn out.
The designs that come with the set are really not designs, they’re just photographs of completed marble runs. I emailed the company in Italy asking for additional designs but the contact attempts always failed. As such, I’d be interested in knowing if there are other ways to get to new designs as sometimes the kids feel more confident in building an existing marble run. Overall, the product is fairly durable plastic. The pieces fit together well although the trickiest pieces are the two yellow spirals that come with the set. They require some snap-in braces and luckily they provide extras in case you lose these tiny pieces (TIP: use a tin that popular mints come in to store both marbles and the small spare plastic braces in). Anyway, the spirals are the parts where the marble is most likely to get hung up, although there are some wheelhouses where the wheel snaps out so make sure that they are properly snapped in before adding them to your current marble run design. They’re easy to snap back in. We’ve had luck with designs where the slower spirals are placed high up in the design thereby allowing the ramps and drops to then allow the marble to gather speed. As the set includes multiple start and finish pieces, you can set up different starts and “race” marbles. This is also mildly educational as you can have kids estimate which marble will finish first.
We’ve had this product for at least two years and I see it being used a bit more as they’ve gotten into the pre-teen age. The pieces held up as we’ve had no breakage but I must say that I’ve never gotten the pieces to fit back into the original box without sticking out somewhat, but I am guessing that is because it comes packed in a certain way, especially when it comes to the yellow spiral pieces that are probably packed flat whereas I store them with the plastic brackets/braces in them to make them ready-to-use right from the box for our next marble run design.

My daughter got this for her 5th birthday present and it is the most adorable little tea set. Be aware that it is small, so it is more appropriate for having pretend tea parties with dolls and stuffed animals than for drinking out of, but I thought the size was perfect for her.
It is fairly sturdy as far as porcelain goes, but it is still porcelain. One cup handle broke when a large adult tripped over the toy wagon carrying the set and sent everything flying onto the floor. The sugar bowl top broke when my 3-year-old three it across the room. So, they take a lot of abuse but are not indestructible.
BUT, they are so cute and such fun that I am replacing my daughter’s tea set with the exact same Butterfly Tea Set by Schylling, except I’m getting the one that comes with a basket. I looked at a lot of other tea sets on Amazon, eBay, etc. before deciding that we already had the one I really wanted. I am also planning to give Schylling tea sets as gifts to other girls, and it is on my list to give my little niece (now 2 months) as soon as she is old enough for her first tea set.
Another final, excellent point in favor of this tea set is that it is inexpensive and widely available, so replacement pieces will not be a problem. I am going to keep the remainder of our first Butterfly Tea Set in the closet, so they can be backup pieces in case of more accidents.
All told, for cuteness, price, fun, and relative durability, this tea set is a winner.

My 3yr old daughter is tired of wooden puzzles, but she could (and does) play with this one over and over and over again. This is a good way to challenge her and continue to push her fine motor skills.
There is something really fun for a little kid to be able (and be asked!) to do and undo the latches and locks that are usually out of their reach. The hinged doors are also a fun touch.
It is definitely a puzzle you will want to sit down and do with your child since some of the locks and latches are not completely intuitive for little hands. There are also some spots where the lock/latch will prevent the the doors from closing completely if they are in the way (especially the chain on the slider).
A lot of fun and a great rainy day toy!

I bought this for my one year old granddaughter because it was the only appropriate tea set for her age. The “thank you” from her mother was polite, but not enthusiastic. “She’ll grow into it.” and “She wanted water to come out of it.”
My daughter-in-law was absolutely right. Three months later, I received a phone call that thrilled me. Seems a one year old is a bit too young for this set, but still worth purchasing at this age. And, the no water part works out for the best. No mess. Just pretend.
At fifteen months she adores the songs and especially the “please” and “thank you.” The best part? She placed all the “goodies” in the correct places, then carefully carried the plate over to serve her aunt. (Not an easy feat when her best friend is a 120 lb. dog.)
It’s difficult to purchase a toy for a grandchild who lives in another state. I guess I researched this product well and was rewarded with the glowing report from her mom.

So happy we bought this for our son’s 2 year old birthday. He’s been on it 2 days straight – around the house, and out at the park – and I’ve never ever seen this cool kid smile so big, for so long! He’s had other ride-ons (a car and a turtle), and liked those, but he looooves this motorcyle! There is just something so “big kid” about it’s style, and the fact that you can steer it is great!
He immediately got on it and zoomed around, steering properly, all over our hardwood, area rugs, and tile floors. On a regular tricycle, he hasn’t mastered pedaling+steering, so could never go very fast or far without us helping and pushing (read: bent over all the time getting a sore back – lol). It was so GREAT to take him to the park and watch him fly all around on his own, up and down small hills, steering confidently and squealing with glee the whole time. He can really get it going fast (wear helmets!), and that’s very thrilling for him, of course. Our tall (41 inches) 3 year old girl loves it too (even though she can ride real trikes or bike with training wheels already), but boy isn’t sharing his new wheels much yet.
We were hesitant, of course, to spend 49.99 on a small plastic toy, and I do still think it should really be about a -35 toy, but we are thrilled with the purchase nonetheless.
Other reviewers noted it was ominously lightweight – and that is very true. When the box came, I lifted it before I opened it, and thought there must be a mistake as it almost felt empty. So hopefully, it will be durable enough for our rough-and-tumble boy for many months (at least) to come, because it’s obvious he’s established quite a bond with his “motorcycle.” So far it is showing no signs that it will break too easily.
Came fully assembled with stickers on. Just removed from box and good to go.
Bottom line: If you have to spend and a 2 – 3 year old to buy for, I will bet you will get paid back in super-big smiles. Also a great early learning step to steering a trike/bike.
